NOW HIRING: Experienced Handyman Technician / Sales & Estimating Professional

Mr. Handyman of West Marietta–Smyrna

Location: Marietta, Smyrna, and surrounding Cobb County areas, GA

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Commission-Based – 20-25% of Labor Revenue

Mr. Handyman of West Marietta–Smyrna is a locally owned and operated professional home repair and maintenance company. We take pride in delivering quality craftsmanship, exceptional customer service, and dependable solutions for residential and commercial customers.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and sales-oriented Handyman Technician who takes ownership of their work, manages time efficiently, and understands the importance of productivity and customer satisfaction.

This position is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who can not only complete repairs professionally but also identify customer needs, prepare accurate estimates, and confidently sell additional services.

Key Responsibilities

Skilled Repairs & Maintenance

• Perform a wide variety of residential and commercial repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects.
• Demonstrate proficiency in drywall repair, painting, carpentry, door and window repairs, flooring, fixture installation, and general handyman services.
• Complete projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Diagnose problems and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.

Sales & Estimating

• Assess customer needs and prepare accurate, professional estimates.
• Confidently present estimates, explain recommended repairs, and close sales.
• Identify opportunities for additional services while on-site.
• Communicate pricing, project scope, and completion times accurately.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills without using high-pressure sales tactics.
• Work toward a minimum production target of $5,000 in weekly labor revenue , subject to available scheduled work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial maintenance, remodeling, or handyman services preferred.
• Strong knowledge of multiple trades, including carpentry, drywall, painting, doors, flooring, and general repairs.
• Proven ability to independently diagnose problems and complete repairs.
• Experience preparing estimates, presenting pricing, and closing sales is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong time-management and organizational abilities.
• Comfortable using mobile applications to document work and communicate with the office.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass applicable pre-employment screening.
• Must be dependable, self-motivated, and accountable.
